  • The feeling of hopelessness and despair over long periods of times commonly followed by suicidal thoughts. The action of simply getting out of bed becomes a near impossible thing to do physically AND mentally..
  • It’s not a choice - it’s a chemical imbalance in the brain. So telling someone to fake it till they make it, just get out and do things, socialize, or anything else will not cure depression so just stop and understand what it actually is first. You’re not helping by saying these things. If anything you're making them feel even more worthless.
